Information the Android App Uses
The nextCitizen Android app does not require you to create an account. It is designed to work as a self-contained study tool for the USCIS Civics Test and the citizenship interview, covering civics questions, flashcards, mock tests, and progress tools.
Information Stored on Your Device
To support your study progress, the app stores certain information locally on your device, including:
- Your favorites
- Your overall progress
- Questions you've marked as weak or answered incorrectly
- Your review schedule, used for spaced review
- Saved local or state-specific answers
- Your mock-test history
This information stays on your device so the app can pick up where you left off each time you return to it.
Microphone and Speech Recognition
The app does not currently use your device's microphone or speech recognition. If a future version adds a feature that uses the microphone, this policy will be updated before that feature is released, and the app will only access the microphone with your permission.
